What People Look for in Worship

What is it that people look for in worship? Some may seek an atmosphere similar to what they grew up in; others may desire something entirely different from that with which they are familiar. Some may look for a lively experience with people jumping and shouting; others prefer a little more sedate approach. Some Catholics choose to return to the past, as explained in a Townhall article titled: “A New Generation of Catholics Discovers Latin Mass 60 Years After Vatican II” (dated December 26, 2023). Salen Zito writes that one woman’s husband was drawn to the Latin Mass “because of the intellectual aspect of it,” but his wife was attracted by its “beauty.”
