New Hampshire's Highest Court Rules Against Parental Rights

An Associated Press article reported on August 30th that "the New Hampshire Supreme Court upheld a school district's policy Friday that allows it to withhold information from parents about their child's wish to identify as a gender other than their biological sex."

The issue had recently surfaced in the state Legislature with a bill that would have required school employees to respond "completely and honestly" to parents asking questions about their children. This bill passed the Senate but died in the House! Senate President Jeb Bradley, a Republican, rightly stated,

The Supreme Court's decision underscores the importance of electing people who will support the rights of parents against a public school establishment that thinks it knows more about raising each individual child than parents do.

The Bible sheds a lot of light on this very matter. God's Word declares, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. … And ye, fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord" (Eph. 6:1, 4).

Corrupt and godless school boards want to reshape and control the minds of our youth! God intended for parents to teach, chasten, and guide their children in a way that is godly and right. What will it take for people to stand up and say, "NO," to the educational thieves stealing our children's minds?

[Editor's note: Ironically, the state motto of New Hampshire is, "Live Free or Die." Do the people call this freedom—when the state now has the authority to override the will of the parents? Maybe they should change the motto to: "Your Children Belong to the State."
