Mr. President, I Must Respectfully Decline!

June 26, 2015 was another black day in American History. It is quite appropriate that five justices were adorned in robes of black, as they handed down their “sentence of death” on all God-approved marriages…. Welcome to Sodom and Gomorrah as the White House was bathed in a rainbow of colors on June 26th. On “black Friday”…Obama challenged all Bible believers in the nation to change their religious views and to accept gay marriage. Mr. President, I must respectfully decline! I will stand with Peter and the Holy Spirit-inspired apostles who said, “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5: 29). God’s first institution was marriage and the home. God designed such for man’s happiness (Gen. 2:21-22; Matt. 19:4-8). God made both man and woman in His own image (Matt. 19:4; Gen. 1:26; 2:7). God made the man and woman for one another that they might propagate the earth (Gen. 1:27-28; 5:4). Mr. Obama, neither two men nor two women will ever be able to fulfill that charge of God.
The Supreme Court, with the blessing of this President, is attempting to impose homosexual “marriage” as a constitutional right. They all ignored the votes of multiplied millions of Americans and Texans who have affirmed that marriage is the coming together of one man and one woman! When Mr. Obama ran for Senator in 2004, he stated that: “marriage is between a man and a woman…that a man and a woman, when they get married, are performing something before God…” Later on, he “evolved” and now uses the Office of the President as a “bully pulpit” for homosexual marriage. Mr. President, one day you will stand before the “bully pulpit” of the Almighty God (Heb. 9:27).
Jesus Christ said, “Have you not read that He Who made them at the beginning made them male and female?” (Matt. 19:4). The President, the U.S. Supreme Court, and numerous politicians, along with the Oxford Dictionary, may attempt to redefine “marriage,” but God’s definition shall remain until the end of time! Paul penned: “For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise, also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful…” (Rom. 1:26-27). Paul also wrote, “Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites…will inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Cor. 6:9-10). In the next verse, Paul observed, “And such were some of you. But you were washed…sanctified…justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.” As God inflicted His punishment on Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19 (cf. Jude 7), so will He inflict the punishment of Gehenna’s fires upon the wicked and immoral of every age, who refuse to hear and heed His ample warnings.
