The Miami Church of Christ in North Miami continues to have 15-20 members on Sunday morning for worship and 10-15 on Wednesday evenings. For the past few years they have been paying rent to a landlord who would not safeguard the premises; the building was broken into, and even their communion trays and songbooks were stolen. At one time, this facility did not have running water, and he was blasé about fixing it.

But now, for only $200 a month more, the brethren in North Miami have bought their own building. They now own a house that has an area to comfortably seat 40 people. It comes with an office area, kitchen, and storage. Since it has a pool, they no longer have the problem of finding a location to baptize new converts. They currently have four Bible studies that are ongoing.

The bank would not loan the church (as an entity) money; so the brethren had to buy the facility personally, which required them to make a sacrifice in order to complete the transaction. They were able to make this purchase for the sum of $150,000, which was an excellent price. They are able to meet the $1,000.00 per month payment with the support sent by South Seminole, two other congregations, and one individual contributor.
