Faith Healing Limitations
Several years ago a report in the paper by Lewis Grizzard tells of his experience at a "faith healing" meeting he attended. Ray Dodd Hembree was in Lewis' hometown and conducting a healing service. A lady by the name of Inez Pickett came to the special service complaining of a kidney disorder. As Ray Dodd prayed, Miss Inez began rejoicing and celebrating her cure (?) by jumping around the platform.
It is at this point that something not planned transpired: Miss Inez fell off the platform and broke her leg! When one person suggested getting an ambulance, another said, "No need for the ambulance, just get Ray Dodd to heal her." When they consulted the fake healer, Ray Dodd said, "I don't do broken bones, just vital organs." What a shame! Have you not heard it said that "one picture is worth a thousand words?" Let it be suggested that one instantaneously healed broken bone would be worth more than a month's worth of so-called kidney cures.
Does anyone wonder why one who claims to have the power to cure kidney disorders doesn't do broken bones? It is probably for the same reason that he does not raise the dead, repair disfigured bodies, supply missing limbs, or restore the sight of the blind.
Miracles do not exist today (1 Cor. 13:8-10), and so-called "faith healers" are simply fakes! Such is the reason every proclaimed healing is internal. When the alleged "healing" can be easily proved true or false, the healer will scream, "I don't do broken bones." Think about it!

The Corinthians were enamored with the gifts, but they missed something greater than the gifts—namely, love (1 Cor. 13:1-3). Love possesses a better quality than the spiritual gifts, and it is permanent while the gifts will pass away (1 Cor. 13:8-10). They were never designed to exist past the time that brethren possessed the entire Word of God. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide the apostles into all truth (John 16:13), and He did (2 Peter 1:3). The gifts bore witness to their revelation. Once revealed, the gifts which endorsed them passed away.]
