Big Tech Censorship

Last week, we mentioned the growing concern about censorship from liberals. On December 5, 2020, I received this pertinent message from Brother Terry Hightower concerning LifeNews.

When social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter started over a decade ago, pro-life groups like LifeNews.com were excited because they represented a way for us to finally get the pro-life perspective to more people and get around the bias and misinformation in the liberal [that is, the mainstream, gws] media.

But as the years have gone by, Big Tech has gotten worse and worse. Now, Big Tech is censoring our pro-life message like never before. Facebook is prohibiting pro-life groups from advertising, making it more difficult for our followers to see our content, boosting liberal media content over content from conservative news outlets, and using liberal media factcheckers that write erroneous pro-abortion factchecks to actively censor and demonetize our page.

Twitter has specifically banned LifeNews from any pro-life advertising, and it frequently censors our content and shadowbans our account—making it impossible for all of our followers to see our content. And now twitter is slapping big warning labels on some content it falsely claims is false.

Thankfully, there are new alternatives that do NOT censor pro-life content. We are urging you to follow us on these new social media platforms, Parler and MeWe, so we can make sure we get the latest pro-life news and information to you and millions of people across the country and around the world. Just like we fight against the pro-abortion bias in the liberal media, we are still fighting the censorship on social media as well. If you’re not already following our traditional social media accounts, please follow us today so we can continue standing against abortion there.

Don’t be surprised to see more censorship against moral issues that represent Biblical teaching, followed by attacks on Christianity itself. Despite what we have always heard about liberals being tolerant, the fact is they are not—especially when they have the upper hand.
